Alana Ruas from Instinto de Vestir.

When do you decided to start a blog? 
I was inspired by my tattoo (egypcian cat Bastet, because of that I made a drawing of a cat logo) and I started to think about fashion, and I got the conclusion that fashion is simply what comes indise you... I want to inspire and encourage other people to dress the way they want without fear. I want them to start following their instinct to dress the way they want.

Why "Instinto de Vestir"? How do you came up with the idea of that name? 
My blog means "instinct to dress". I always follow my instinct when I dress myself.

It was succesful since the beggining? If not, what encouraged you to continue posting? 
At the beginning was really hard, but if you do this with passion, I think the success come naturally...


Did you have a lot of friends that supported your work, or it was only you and the web? 
Yes, my friends are the best! They always support me to never give up :)


Have you done collaborations? When did they start?
Yes I do, start with the lookbook.nu

How did you feel when you saw that your blog was being succesful?

I feel really glad and grateful :)  

 

Someone helped you with the blog design and organisation? 

Yes, my husband help me a lot!

  

Have you studied something related to fashion? It's helpful to write the blog?

Yes I study fashion design. I think help a little bit, but if you like fashion and start to do searches more about its easy to write. 

 

Is blogging a job or a hobby? If it's not a job, what do you do to earn a living?

I think the both. But I consider my real job as fashion producer.

Who take your photos? Is always the same person?

My mom and my husband.

 

Do you edit the photos? 

Yes I do, its really important  :) 

 

Typical question for well known bloggers: do you get a lot of free clothes?  

Yes I do.

 

The clothes you show on the blog, are the ones you wear to spend the day or you just wear them for the photo? 

I use everything day to day

You have a lookbook account too, what came first: lookbook or your blog? And the one was a consequence of the other? 

Always my blog first! I love the feedback of my followers on my blog, I like to have a close friendship with them :)

What did you do to be seen?  

Basically lookbook.nu and another social media like facebook page, twitter, pinterest, etc...
