Interview with Snakes Nest

Her name is Bethany Struble

She is from LA, California. I knew about her about one or two years ago, when I discovered lookbook. She was my favorite and when I knew she was a teen mum, she inspired me even more. The day I entered her blog, it totally caught my eye, and I spent hours reading old posts and watching a lot of her outfits. Now I still read all her posts, and she has been so nice to answer me some questions for newbie bloggers, like a lot of us. Hope you enjoy the interview.

When do you decided to start a blog?
I started my blog a little over 2 years ago just to showcase my own personal photography.

What did you do to be seen? 
I think that it takes dedication and passion towards blogging to become successful.

It was succesful since the beginning? If not, what encouraged you to continue posting?
In the beginning it was slow, but readers kept coming more and more as I started posting more frequently and regularly.

Did you have a lot of friends who supported your work, or it was only you and the web? Not a lot of my friends really know too much about my blog! Most of the support comes from people I don't know! Whis is amazing.

Have you done collaborations? When did they start?
My first collaboration was 3 months after I started blogging. Now I'm working with Coach and BCBG regularly and attending fashion week!

About blogging... is it all good? Or as a lot of things are bad points too?
Blogging actually takes quite a lot of time and dedication. Its really fun for me, thats why I continue to do it, but if someone doesn't enjoy blogging, then it becomes a chore!

Has someone helped you with the blog design and organisation?
I've done most of my blog design myself except for the top sticky banner. I had help with that! Other than that, my blog is fully under my control!

Is blogging your job or a hobby? If it's not, what do you do to earn a living?
My blog is a hobby and a job! I think there is a good balance between the two.  

Who take your photos? Is always the same person?
My boyfriend, Peter Adrian, usually takes my photos, but if he's not there I have friends who I take pictures with.

Do you edit the photos?
I edit all of my own pictures. I'm quite picky about it!

The clothes you show on the blog, are the ones you wear to spend the day or you just wear them for the photo? 
Every outfit I post is an outfit I wear! 

You have a lookbook account too, what came first: lookbook or your blog? And the one was a consequence of the other? 
I started my blog and lookbook around the same time, but I was only posting my personal photography on my blog, not my outfits. Then once I got sponsors, I started posting outfits on my blog.
